Our Development Over the Years

2014

New Carpets:
Manor Carpets
(as we were known as originally)  set out to supply and install affordable new carpets and vinyl flooring to a vast range of customers across our region.
Our floor choices covered the majority of tastes and our ranges increased to accommodate the changing styles and demands.

2016

Carpet Repairs:
A few customers asked if we could repair carpet damage ranging from burns, pet damage, paint spills, bleach damage etc.
Not something we'd heard of and didn't think was possible.

After a lot of research, a plan was put into action to learn how to repair an array of issues, with the aim of saving hundreds, if not thousands of pounds for customers who would normally replace the whole carpet.

6 months of experimenting (at home in the garage) using various different carpet types including old, worn pieces, a skill developed where we could patch or rethread the damaged carpet, saving customers money and the inconvenience of replacing the whole carpet.

Our record (in 2021) still stands at 18 individual carpet repairs in the same house (Cat damage either side of every doorway).

2017

Carpet Cleaning:
With a good and established reputation supplying and fitting new flooring, existing customers asked if we could recommend a quality carpet cleaning company which we did.
The volume of enquiries increased and the idea was launched to provide our own carpet cleaning service.

After months of research we took the plunge and invested considerably in good quality training from some of the industries leading suppliers.
The training provided a solid head start into the complicated world of professional carpet cleaning.

With the knowledge of various types of carpet construction, different fibres and backings associated with carpets and the training completed, we moved to the next stage and invested in top quality, new equipment, suitable for our customer base.

Small, but powerful extraction machines allow us to access to most homes and apartments without complication.

Alongside carpet cleaning, carpet repairs continue to be a regular part of our working week, as word gets out that this is a possible alternative.

2020

Carpet sales were steady, but the added complication of Brexit (new carpet prices rocketed due to import duties) followed by Covid, a difficult year followed.

At the end of the pandemic, a decision was made to stop supplying and fitting new carpets. Mainly due to new carpet costs. (The majority of our carpets came from Holland, Brexit played a large part as import costs increased dramatically).

Carpet cleaning and carpet repairs took off again after Covid and with a loyal customer base, repeat business follows - thank you to you all.

2022

Hard Floor Cleaning, Repairs and Maintenance:
Not wanting to stand still, additional services were added to our portfolio including hard floor cleaning - Karndean, Amtico, LVT etc.
Stripping and resealing of this type of flooring proves very popular as it restores the flooring back to it's full beauty and durability.

Karndean, Amtico, LVT, Vinyl / Lino and Laminate Repairs:
With a strong reputation for carpet repairs in the region, we again expanded into the strange world of hard floor repairs - a whole new learning curve.

Hard floors require repairing and then (in most cases) re-colouring to blend in to the existing flooring. Laminate Karndean and Amtico prove the biggest challenges as the colour matching is done using cellulose (solvent) paints and a variety of small artists paint brushes, with a final top coat sealant.
Patterns, grains and textures take on average a few hours to match and blend.

2024

We will continue to grow and develop new skills in the fascinating world of flooring.
